As stated, Farm Heroes saga gameplay borrows a bit from Candy Crush including the ‘match 3 items to win’ concept and the best strategy for winning in the game, which is to start at the bottom. It does however bring a few more different aspects to the table like extra free-to-play strategies, diversification in how players earn in-game rewards and its own currency.
When playing Farm Heroes, matching more than three cropsies will get you crop bonuses for example 4 matches gives you a +2 bonus while 6 crop matches causes all the crops in that line and column to get a +1 bonus. The graphics on this game are amazing and help cement King’s reign in mobile games. The bonuses contribute to your growth rate, which will determine how many Magic Beans you get. Magic Beans come in handy in levels with Rancid the Raccoon or for buying boosters that can help you with clearing difficult crops or breaking eggs so that you can finish a level.

Tips that help you progress through the game and hopefully get to level 1240 without sacrificing your social life include:
- Making the most of the Hero Mode multipliers that appear when you complete a level without finishing your moves
- Staying close to the bottom as this usually results in a cascading effect that could increase your growth rate and most of all using your gold mindfully.
- Buying extra moves or using the gold to defeat Rancid is being rather wasteful when you can use it to unlock gates and open new episodes.
- It’s also wise to not let eggs build up as this eats into the moves you have and the same goes for levels with flowers. Get rid of those in the middle of the board as soon as possible to avoid wasting moves.
- Filling up your farm club also helps you unlock free boosts. The best way to do this is to get 3 stars on the growth rate on levels that have a ‘cow’ icon.
- Waiting can also net you some boosts so even though it is tempting to just fly through the game and use all the cheats, tips and tricks possible, the boosts may well be worth the wait, and with 1240 levels, the game is not going anywhere anytime soon.
